ThriveFantasy Raises $1M to Bring Prop Betting in the Esports World to the Next Level
ThriveFantasy, a pioneering daily fantasy sports/Esports prop betting platform, today announced their seed funding of $1M. The round was led by Stage1 Ventures, along with members of the New York Angels, New York Venture Partners, Han Park (former President of ESL) and Neil Sahota (IBM Master Inventor).

Traditional daily fantasy is simply too difficult. ThriveFantasy was created to give fans a better chance at winning. Thrive challenges users to pick simple over/unders of kills, deaths, assists, headshots, and more. Thrive focuses only on the top-tier athletes and top tier games: CS:GO, LoL, and DOTA with Overwatch coming soon. Thrive’s prop concept doesn’t force users to know and research every player on every team like traditional DFS. As a result, users win at a higher, more consistent level.
The funding will be primarily used to invest in these initiatives:
- Expanding and Integrating more popular Esports titles
- Twitch and Discord integration for real-time betting and watching
- Increasing the size and quantity of prize pools
Since COVID temporarily shut down traditional sports, Thrive shifted its focus to Esports and has seen growth of 150% over the last 3 months. ThriveFantasy launched in April 2018 initially with contests for the NFL, NBA, and MLB. Since then, they have added PGA, USL, AUDL, along with Esports.
